I could either walk all the way back to my car in the disabled parking lot, or I could surrender it. Then to add insult to injury, the woman operating the scanner said that the tiny knife on my keychain was not allowed. So what’s the point of the wand? It was obviously the belt, but these people wanted to humiliate me by forcing me to remove some of my clothing in front of tons of people even though the wand already should have cleared me. When I went through it went off, the security guy with the wand sees that the small amount of metal in my belt set it off, but rather than letting me move on he says I have to go back and remove my belt and then walk through again. Then we get to their security area where we have to remove everything from our pockets, and walk through a metal detector. Walking in they make you walk through a serpentine line a very long way for no reason at all because there weren’t many people in the line. I took my family on Saturday night to get dinner, and parked in disabled parking. The hassles of going there, and the ridiculous attitudes of the employees (mainly security) is just not worth it. I’m done with Universal citywalk and their parks. This rating is about the parking situation, but not about the parks, restaurants or something else there. I also did not like long walking lines checking people's belongings. If someone stays at the amusement parks all they should not be charged the same like people who stay there 2 hours only. The price they charge (pure greed) is outrageous. I won't be back at the City Walk for a long time because of the parking price maybe never. That's what one of the parking attendants told me, but I am not sure if that's true. I did not go to any of the 2 amusement parks or restaurants, but you still charged me that amount for the parking? I wonder if they charge that amount the whole year or just at this time when they have the Halloween nights or whatever they call that show. The parking (for only 2 hours) cost me a third of my ticket price. I remember a few years ago, when the parking was free after 6pm, but I guess those days are long gone. The charged me $28 just for a parking spot. I went to the Hard Rock Live to a concert a few days ago. Where I waited for close to 30 minutes just to get to the front of the line! That means I spent around 40 minutes of my day just to get my parking validated! And on top of that while I was waiting I watched the employee interact with customers not wearing masks properly and did not say a word about it. So as soon as I finished the movie a got back in line. I waited in line for around 5-10 minutes and when I got to the front of the line around 1145 they told me they can not issue the refund before 12 and since my movie started at 1210 I would have to wait until after the movie. Since I had things to get done today after seeing the movie went to the concierge counter before my movie started to get the refund. And city walk will reimburse your $26 parking fee with the purchase of 2 movie tickets. I went today because the theater was playing an old movie that I wanted to see on the big screen. I have lived in the Orlando area for over a decade but have only been a few times.
